Selena Gomez Opens Up About Taylor Swift Friendship On The Talk (VIDEO)
Selena Gomez appeared on Friday’s “The Talk,” where she charmed the ladies by opening up about her friendship with Taylor Swift and then played a game where she had to guess dance-oriented movies.
The actress shared some advice she recently got from Swift, who told Gomez that if she’s the “smartest person in the room,” she’s in the wrong room, because she needs to surround herself with the type of people who will challenge her and raise her game.
Gomez was also asked about Swift’s desire for her to move to New York. She revealed that Swift originally moved to Los Angeles and loved it, and then Gomez followed suit. And now Swift has up and left for Manhattan. Gomez said she won’t be going to the East Coast just yet, and gushed about her L.A. home. “I love it,” she said.
Fun fact: HollywoodLife spent months lying about an alleged feud between Gomez and Swift, then backtracked desperately after Gossip Cop repeatedly corrected the rumor.
As an extra treat, Gomez got to see co-host Sheryl Underwood recreate a famous sequence from Flashdance. Another fun fact: Flashdance came out in 1983, nine years before Gomez was even born. Swift was on the show to promote her own next movie, Rudderless. Note: Videos no longer available.
