Selena Gomez Cries Throughout “The Heart Wants What It Wants” Music Video Seemingly About Justin Bieber – WATCH!
Selena Gomez released a music video Thursday for her song, “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” and it sure sounds like the bad boy referenced and shown in the footage is supposed to be on-and-off again boyfriend Justin Bieber. The black-and-white video starts off with a teary Gomez saying in a recording, “I know him, though, and I know his heart, and I know what he wouldn’t do to hurt me. But I didn’t realize that I’m feeling so confident and feeling so great about myself, and then it just be completely shattered by one thing, by something so stupid. But then you make me feel crazy. You make me feel like it’s my fault. I was in pain.”
The video then shows Gomez out clubbing and crying, at times, because of her boyfriend, played by a guy who interestingly has a tattoo, likes drinking beer and wears T-shirts, plaid shirts and sometimes a hat. Among the lyrics to the song about her relationship with the bad boy are: “The bed’s getting cold and you’re not here/The future that we hold is so unclear” and “But I’m not alive until you call/And now I bet the odds against it all.” Perhaps defining her real-life pull to Bieber, Gomez sings, “There’s a million reasons why I should give you up/But the heart wants what it wants.”
Gomez noted on Instagram just two days before the video’s release, “I thought a lot about my year… And after a year of holding on. I think it’s time to start sharing. #November” She similarly said on Twitter on Thursday, as she debuted the song’s video, “I have been waiting to share this with all of you.”
