Selena Gomez NOT “Shaken Up” By Hailey Baldwin Run-In, Despite Report
According to HollywoodLife, Gomez “was not thrilled when she ran into Justin Bieber’s new lady love” at The Nice Guy on Sunday. The fabrication factory writes, “We can tell you that she felt totally sick when she ran into Hailey at the super small restaurant. A source tells HollywoodLife.com that it ‘really threw her for a loop’ and that Selena wasn’t expecting Hailey to show up!”
“Selena was so freaked out when she saw Hailey at Nice Guy. She wasn’t expecting it at all and it really threw her for a loop,” claims the outlet’s so-called “source” (ahem). “They run in the same circles, but Selena has never been a big fan of Hailey’s, mainly because she always suspected she had a crush on Justin. But Selena is a lady and she has been friendly with Hailey in the past so she knew she had to say ‘hello’ to her and her father.”
The site’s alleged tipster continues, “She was polite and greeted them both but then when she got to her table she was pretty shaken up. She couldn’t really eat. Her food just sat there while she texted on her phone.” The rest of the piece is filled out with the snitch babbling about Gomez’s supposed insecurities over Bieber and how “seeing Hailey kicked up all those emotions.”
Of course, both Gomez and Baldwin have BLASTED HollywoodLies on more than one occasion for its flat-out made-up stories about them. No actual person close to either star would go spilling to them. But there’s another tell-tale way to know this report is a bunch of baloney.
Monday morning, the webloid ran a story with a headline, “Selena Gomez & Hailey Baldwin Party At Same Club: Did Justin’s Girls Have Awkward Run-In?” (see below). The post speculated whether there was an “uncomfortable meeting” or if they “narrowly avoid[ed] a run-in.” It even ended with the question posed to reads, “HollywoodLifers, do you think Selena and Hailey had words at the club?”
And wouldn’t you know, just hours later, HollywoodLife magically had a “source” saying there was indeed “awkward” interaction. That’s not fishy at all, right? If the site had any credibility, it would’ve had the truth right from the start, which is that Gomez and Baldwin being at the same establishment was a total non-issue. It’s almost as if the second report was just made up!
