Selena Gomez NOT “Terrified” Of Being Dissed At Justin Bieber Roast, Despite Report
Selena Gomez is NOT “terrified” that she’ll be a target at the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber, despite a new tall tale. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this false claim. According to a webloid, Gomez is afraid she’ll get “dissed” when Bieber’s skewered on March 7 in Los Angeles. But it’s not true.
The serial fabricators at HollywoodLife report that Gomez is “worried” she’ll be the butt of jokes at Bieber’s Comedy Central roast. The webloid even quotes one of its unreliable sources as saying she’s “afraid of what will be said about her and what will make the broadcast for the roast,” adding, “She knows that it could be very brutal… [she’s] not looking forward to the roast.”
A couple of things bear mentioning. For starters, Gossip Cop has learned that Gomez has not told anyone in her inner circle that she’s concerned. Additionally, if Gomez is brought by the comedians on the dais, which she probably will be, Bieber will still be the butt of the joke. In fact, in the past Gossip Cop has helped write material for roasts, and the punchlines are generally not directed at those who aren’t in attendance. The meat of the jokes are, for the most part, aimed almost entirely on those sitting on the dais and the roastee.
Could jokes focus on others in Bieber’s world? It’s possible there could be “brutal” cracks about Patti Mallette being the only “Teen Mom” success story or about Jeremy Bieber being the tree that doesn’t fall fall from the acorn. But Gossip Cop checked in with one comedian pal involved in the roast, who says, “There’s plenty about [Bieber] to rip.” Actually, the only thing that’s “brutal” is HollywoodLife’s phony stories.
