Selena Gomez has NOT “relapsed,” nor is she being “forced into rehab,” despite a fabricated cover story that hit newsstands on Wednesday. A rep for Gomez exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the report is made up.

According to Life & Style, Gomez, who sought treatment for emotional issues last year, has spent 2015 struggling with various problems, and “has learned to cope with some of her mounting problems by hitting the bottle.” A so-called “source” claims to the tabloid, “She is a ticking time bomb. Selena doesn’t seem to be able to recover from all this on her own — and she’s being forced into rehab for her issues.”

“Selena is showing up for work, fulfilling obligations. But at night she’s partying,” alleges the Life & Style “source,” adding, “And her alcohol consumption has been increasing. One or two drinks becomes six or seven. It’s sad.”

If any of this sounds familiar, that’s because Life & Style’s sister publication In Touch ran a similar story just last week, falsely alleging Gomez was “spiraling.” Some of the supposed “source” quotes, specifically about the working/partying and the number of drinks, are even word-for-word the same. And after picking up In Touch’s already-debunked allegations, Life & Style ends it piece by conveniently giving itself an out for when Gomez doesn’t check into treatment, quoting its fake “source” as saying she’ll only go “dragged kicking and screaming.”

In other words, Gomez is NOT going to rehab. Her team was NEVER “forcing” her to go rehab. And Life & Style just decided to repeat the same B.S. that was busted last week for the sake of a sensational cover story. In any case, Gossip Cop again checked in with Gomez’s rep, and we’re told this latest story is entirely untrue.
