Selena Gomez Tweet About Feeling “Insecure” NOT Related To Justin Bieber, Despite Made-Up Story
Selena Gomez tweeting that she’s always felt “insecure” about her speaking voice was not a “message to Justin Bieber,” despite an absurd report. Gossip Cop is exclusively told that the claim is entirely untrue.
Over the weekend, Gomez tweeted a few lines from an interview she gave last week to Entertainment Weekly, in which she spoke about her upcoming album Revival, the singers she grew up listening to, and how she used to be “insecure with my speaking voice.” None of that interview, however, had anything to do with Bieber.
Enter HollywoodLife, an unreliable webloid that has lied so much about Gomez that she once noted on Instagram, “Hollywood life is never true. Ever.” Doing what it does best, the site once again manufactured a fake story about the young singer, writing in its latest misfire that with Gomez’s recent “tweet being about ‘overcoming her insecurities,’ we can’t help but wonder if it’s directed specifically to her famous ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.”
It’s not. And the hacks who fabricate stories at HollywoodLies are apparently so inept at reporting that not one of them realized Gomez’s tweet was a quote from her Entertainment Weekly story. The proof? Entertainment Weekly was not mentioned once in the entire made-up HollywoodLife story while Bieber’s name was mentioned EIGHT times.
Conversely, in the actual Entertainment Weekly article, Gomez never once mentioned Bieber nor did she discuss “overcoming” insecurities. She simply told the magazine, in reference to her music, “I was always insecure with my speaking voice because it’s so low… I never felt like it was feminine-sounding. I didn’t know it would be such an asset to who I am now, though. It adds a cool, personal quality. It’s exciting.”
Basically, rather than reporting or fact-checking news, HollywoodLife spends its time trying to make it up. In fact, Gossip Cop has busted that site numerous times for flat-out lying about Gomez. Regardless, a Gomez source tells Gossip Cop the latest tweet was obviously not directed at Bieber, and that the webloid “just makes up sh*t.”
