“Is Selena Gomez Wearing An Engagement Ring?” asks HollywoodLife, which often poses questions — yet rarely has the right answers.

According to the webloid, “In the middle of a Mexican getaway for a friend’s wedding, Selena Gomez was caught with a ring on the fourth finger on her left hand — the engagement ring position.”

The silly site then asks (yet another question): “Is it from her boyfriend Justin Bieber?”

“If it’s not an engagement ring, it must be a promise ring,” declares HollywoodLife.

“Selena was NOT wearing the ring before she jetted off on her getaway, so we’re assuming he gave it to her on the plane… It’s definitely possible Justin whisked Selena away on a romantic vacation to PROPOSE,” adds the blog, which often sounds like it’s written by overly excited seven-year-olds.

Unfortunately, no amount of lollipops sent over to HollywoodLife will mend their tiny little hearts.

A Gomez rep tells Gossip Cop, “She is not engaged.”
