MAG: Selena Gomez Scared “Vindictive” Justin Bieber Will Spill Secrets If They Split

Selena Gomez allegedly wants to dump Justin Bieber but can’t, according to a baffling report in the National Enquirer.

The tabloid, which has filled its pages with utter nonsense about the couple for months, now cites a so-called “source” who claims Gomez is “agonizing over an exit strategy from an oppressive relationship that’s slowly draining her.”

Uh-huh.

And if the relationship is “oppressive,” why doesn’t she leave?

The Enquirer says it’s because Gomez is terrified a split will trigger Justin’s newly emerging vindictive streak, driving him to spill her intimate secrets!”

Wait, what?

“Selena’s seen a change in The Biebs — he’s less kind to others, and to her, and gotten more full of himself,” her “friend” tells the Enquirer.

The alleged “source” then offers one of the most contorted and unnatural fake quotes we’ve ever seen.

“He isn’t the Justin she fell in love with, the ‘dreamy’ boyfriend she could have fun with and tell all her secrets to. He knows things about her family life, and her true feelings about contemporaries like Miley Cyrus — so she’s worried about what he’ll spill if they split.”

The “source” continues, “His escalating, wild-card behavior worries her, but she won’t kick him to the curb hard and cold for fear he’ll get vindictive. Selena’s searching for a way to break it off, remain friends — and even continue working together on projects, as they’ve done with tracks for her upcoming CD.”

Wow.

Beyond the fact that no one talks like this, let’s examine what the Enquirer’s “source” seems to be saying.

Bieber is allegedly — and all of a sudden — a monster whom Gomez fears… except she wants to be friends with him?

Gomez allegedly has “secrets” about her family (and Miley Cyrus?)… but the Enquirer has no clue what they are because she only shared them with Bieber?

The singer-actress supposedly considers her relationship “oppressive” and “draining” enough to want to escape… except she’s terrified Bieber will essentially blackmail her?

And even though she allegedly thinks her boyfriend is “vindictive” and capable of blackmail, even if she did manage to “break it off,” she’d supposedly want to keep working with him?

NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE.

The Enquirer is basically admitting that it doesn’t have any real dirt on the couple.

Conveniently, the tabloid’s story gets to say horrible things about Bieber and imply that Gomez is hiding something, and then suggest that their staying together is somehow evidence of both.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer report is “ridiculous.”

Maybe the tab should go back to publishing fictional beard and Botox stories about Bieber instead of engaging in half-baked conspiracy theories.
