Selena Gomez Did NOT Call Katy Perry To Discuss Dissing Her In Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” Video — LISTEN HERE!
Selena Gomez did NOT call Katy Perry to make sure she wasn’t mad about getting dissed in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, despite reports claiming such a phone conversation took place. In the “Bad Blood” video, Gomez plays the enemy of Swift’s character, and is wearing a wig seemingly fashioned after Perry’s haircut. Many fans interpreted Gomez’s appearance to be a dig at Perry, whose relationship with Swift is complicated, to say the least. What’s more, Swift is rumored to have written the song about the, uh, bad blood between them.
But did Gomez help Swift slam Perry, then call her up to smooth things over? During an interview on the radio show “The Edge Afternoons,” the hosts asked Gomez about claims she called Perry to explain she was just “acting” and wasn’t trying to be mean. “That’s false,” Gomez responded. “I love Katy. I just talked to her. She’s amazing. But I didn’t talk about that.” Gomez went on to compliment Perry even more, calling the “Roar” singer “awesome.”
