Gunman Kills One, Injures Others at Seattle Pacific University Before Being Disarmed By Student With Pepper Spray (VIDEO)
An unidentified gunman opened fire at Seattle Pacific University on Thursday, killing one person and injuring at least three others.
The tragedy occurred on the Washington campus’ Otto Miller building, where a student security guard was able to subdue the shooter with pepper spray as the suspect tried to reload his weapon.
Other students helped hold down the assailant, who is male, until police took him into custody.
A 19-year-old man was fatally wounded in the incident.
A 20-year-old woman was in critical condition, and will undergo surgery, while two other male victims are said to be in satisfactory condition.
The private Christian university, founded in 1891, has a forty-acre campus 10 minutes outside of downtown Seattle, and is attended by more than 4,200 students.
The shooting comes just two weeks after 22-year-old Elliot Rodger went on a rampage near UC Santa Barbara, killing six people before turning the gun on himself.
