It’s Day 2 of the search for Jessica Simpson’s dog, and the only thing harder to locate than Daisy is any sympathy or sensitivity from other websites for the distraught owner.

Today a number of outlets are reporting – with a smirk – that Simpson contacted dog-finding service FindToto.com to help return Daisy after a coyote snatched her near Simpson’s parents’ home in Encino, California.

“Jessica Calls in Experts to Aid Dog Search,” declares TMZ. Perez Hilton picks up the story and mocks, “Simpleton Calls in Doggy Experts!”

Not only should they be a little more sympathetic – they should also get their facts straight.

Gossip Cop actually called Find Toto. They told us that they had been the ones to reach out to Simpson – not the other way around.

And while many blogs are reporting that she’s in deep denial about Daisy’s fate, her rep told Gossip Cop that Simpson is “realistic,” though still hopeful.

And we also hope this story has a happy ending.

I really feel bad for Jessica she has had a rough year, and this is just the icing on the cake. Stay strong girl.

  • Sarah Bethune

I was absolutely incensed at Us Weekly’s online story about this situation. It was the meanest, most condescending thing I have read in a long time, and that says a lot for Us Weekly. As a dog owner/lover my heart goes out to Jess.

I wonder how Mario would feel if his own dog were missing or dead? Talk about azzholes!

  • Bobbi

I’m not much of a Jessica Simpson fan, but anyone who has eyes knows she is absolutely devoted to Daisy. Thinking about my own dog disappearing allows me to relate to how she must be feeling. I’m really sorry for her and hope she can find some peace about this soon.

When I first heard about Jessica’s dog I got all teary eyed. What a devastating thing to see your precious little dog snatched in the mouth of a coyote. I feel horrible for Jessica. The reporting of the story has almost been worst. I’ve just been livid over the insensitivity. If Perez’s dog Teddy had been taken by a coyote he would be doing everything in his power to find him. What an incredible asshole. My heart goes out to Jessica.

    Agree with ya’ll…
Really, some sympathy wouldn’t hurt… some just do not know the feeling…
Hope they found Daisy… but if Jessica is realistic about it, total support for her!

I feel awful for Jessica she loved her doggy. Our animals are like our children.

It sucks she lost her dog, and who’s the moron that compared animals to children wtf?? seriously you need some help. Children (humans) were made after gods image.
Animals are here on earth for a purpose, or had a purpose, they were once pack animals that have now been bred by greedy breeders to fill a void for media whores such as Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson.
