Sean Hayes will serve as host of the 2010 Tony Awards, it was announced today.
The ceremony airs live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York on Sunday, June 13.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards,” said Hayes. “As the new guy on Broadway, it’s an honor to be included in the established alumni.”
A star-packed roster of nominees including Jude Law, Denzel Washington, Laura Linney, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hugh Jackman, and Daniel Craig will be up for trophies.
Hayes himself is a nominee for Promises, Promises.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Sean carrying on the tradition of excellent hosts for the Tony Awards,” noted executive producer Glenn Weiss. “Sean’s humor, charm and natural ability on the stage will make an already great show even better.”
