There is reportedly chaos at “The View” as producers try to find a conservative voice to join Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg at the table.

According to TMZ, a test show taping on Thursday led to trouble between S.E. Cupp, the right-wing CNN commentator auditioning for a co-hosting spot, and her liberal counterparts.

The outlet cites production sources who say a debate over abortion turned “nasty,” with Goldberg asking Cupp if she’s ever had to make a decision about terminating a pregnancy, and O’Donnell reportedly scolding Cupp and saying she didn’t want another Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck, a conservative, famously sparred with O’Donnell when both were on “The View” several years ago.

On Friday, O’Donnell made it seem as though doesn’t want an incoming co-host to create constant political drama.

A follower, YouTube personality Michael Buckley, tweeted to O’Donnnell, “@theviewtv please don’t cast a jerk just for the sake of them fighting with @Rosie @WhoopiGoldberg. Thanks.”

She replied, “Fear not – won’t happen #stayPOSITIVE.”

This isn’t to say “The View” won’t bring a conservative voice onboard — it just means that O’Donnell will have sway over who it is.

Stay tuned.
