“Scream Queens” Parodies Taylor Swift’s “Swiftmas” With “Chanel-O-Ween” (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift’s “Swiftmas” will be parodied on next week’s “Screen Queens.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Swift held her first-ever “Swiftmas” last December. Fans would find a random Santa Claus emoji left on their social media accounts, and then get surprised in the mail with hand-picked gifts from the superstar, who carefully chose presents for each individual fan. The fans then shared their ecstatic reaction videos, which Swift’s camp edited together into a mini-documentary.
This Tuesday’s “Scream Queens” features a big nod to “Swiftmas” with “Chanel-O-Ween.” The Fox horror-comedy takes Swift’s idea and uses it for creepy Halloween gift-giving by Chanel (Emma Roberts). In fact, the segment recreates Swift’s “Swiftmas” video almost exactly, beginning with the same text on screen, incorporating “fan” footage, and including Chanel personally making one of the present deliveries herself, just as the singer did.
Of course, this version is eerie, with Chanel’s gifts consisting of things like fake bloodied limbs, and, well, mean. The sorority president sends her “fans” cruel notes, but they have the same “oh my gosh” reactions as the Swifties. “Chanel-O-Ween is the one time of year I can give these precious donkeys something to look forward to,” Chanel says.
Swift has yet to comment on the spoof, and it’s unclear if she was told about it in advance. Check out both videos below, and tell us what other “Swiftmas” references you see in “Chanel-O-Ween.”
