Scottie, Larsa Pippen Divorce: Police Called For Domestic Disturbances
Police were called to Scottie and Larsa Pippen’s home twice for domestic disturbances in the weeks before the stars filed for divorce.
As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed on Friday that Scottie and Larsa are divorcing after nearly 20 years of marriage. No reason was given for the split, though it was initially suspected that the longtime couple simply grew apart. But it seems tensions rose significantly this month.
On October 2, cops were called to the Pippens’ Fort Lauderdale home, where they found Larsa sitting in a car outside of the residence. She confirmed they had a “heated verbal argument,” but insisted it did not turn into a physical altercation. While Scottie welcomed his wife back into the home and offered to leave, she instead chose to spend the night elsewhere, according to TMZ.
Two days later, on October 4, police were called to the house again. The circumstances of that incident are unknown. But there were no arrests either time, with cops instead filing domestic disturbance reports. It’s not clear if any of the couple’s four children were present during the ordeals.
On Friday, a spokesperson for Scottie noted “this is a very difficult time for Mr. Pippen,” and said the NBA legend is “hopeful that the divorce will be swift and amicable.” A rep for Larsa also released a statement saying, in part, “Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their 4 beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect.”
