Scott Disick Trying To Make Justin Bieber “Jealous” With Kourtney Kardashian Kissing Photo?
As Gossip Cop reported, Monday was Kardashian’s 37th birthday. Many in her family took to social media to mark the special day, including Disick. Though they broke up last July, the couple has remained close as they co-parent their three children. And Disick saw fit to celebrate Kardashian’s milestone by uploading a throwback kissing photo to Instagram with the caption, “Happy birthday @kourtneykardash everyone who knows you loves you so much!”
While rational people saw Disick’s post as a bittersweet gesture given the stars’ long and complicated history, the irrational folks at OK! are convinced Disick was trying to send a message to Bieber, with whom Kardashian has occasionally hooked up. “Making Justin Jealous?” the magazine asks in an online headline. The accompanying story asserts that Disick’s birthday wish “would make anyone believe the estranged exes are back together,” even though both have repeatedly said they aren’t.
And what proof does the tabloid have that Disick’s posting had something to do with Bieber? It has none, of course, besides simply stating “Kardashian is now reportedly hooking up” with the singer. And yet OK! even asks it readers, “Do you think Scott shared this photo to make Justin jealous?”
Uh, that’s not how journalism works. It’s the reporter’s job to research and answer questions, not sensationally throw them out there to stir up controversy. So now Gossip Cop will clean up this childish mess: No, Disick was not trying to make Bieber “jealous” with his kissing photo.
He was merely paying loving tribute to the mother of his three kids with a picture indicative of their happier times. And after a nine-year relationship, he doesn’t need to compete with Bieber or anyone else. Both Disick and Kardashian have publicly discussed the love they still have for each other, and that’s all that’s going on here at the moment.
But leave it to OK! to read more into a rather benign situation. After all, this the same outlet that claimed in February that Disick and Kardashian were getting married because they were (gasp!) shopping together. Funny that allegation isn’t mentioned at all now.
