‘Saw 3D’ Makes a Killing at Box Office

Horror is ruling the Halloween weekend box office, with Saw 3D, the seventh film in the annual gore fest opening at #1 with $24.2 million.

The supernatural forces of Paranormal Activity 2, meanwhile, took second place with $16.5 million.

With a steep drop to third is Red, taking in $10.8 million.

Stunt spectacular Jackass 3D is fourth with $8.4 million, and the Matt Damon drama Hereafter rounds out the Top 5 with $6.3 million.

The rest of the Top Ten this weekend are Secretariat ($5.1 million), The Social Network ($4.7 million), Life As We Know It ($4 million), The Town ($2 million), and Conviction ($1.8 million).
