I'm not sure what Sarah's intent was to say, "she didn't know her daughter was having sex". Most children do not come out and tell their parents they are having sex. Did Sarah think that made her look like a better parent? In my opinion it made Sarah look stupid. Did she communicate with her daughter? Not that Bristol would have said, "yes" but she may have. Had they sat down and talked about the results of unprotected sex and said to her daughter, if you are let's put you on "the pill" and discuss what else can happen with unprotected sex. STD's??????
