Sarah Jessica Parker Weighs in On Kim Kardashian Divorce (LISTEN)

Sarah Jessica Parker has some advice for Kim Kardashian in the wake of her divorce, telling an Australian radio show, “I am a believer in the fine art of discretion.”

Parker, who’s also Down Under promoting her latest movie, I Don’t Know How She Does It, was asked on the “Matt & Jo” show how she and Matthew Broderick have made their marriage last 14 years, as opposed to Kardashian’s 72-day union.

“First of all, we live in New York,” said the actress, adding, “I suspect that we choose to live our lives very differently [from Kardashian].”

“We’re not terribly public, and we don’t talk about our marriage a lot. We don’t share those kinds of details. We don’t offer them up… maybe that’s something to think about,” Parker told the show.

While there’s certainly something to Parker’s advice, it seems unlikely Kardashian will take it since her entire career has been based on broadcasting her private life.

    SJP has a HUGE point here!! How many relationships that have been private lasted a long time? A lot of them! And how many that were in the public eye and we saw EVERYTHING lasted very long!! Not a lot!! I doesn’t matter that you made your career by having your life out in the open you need to get some things private, and I believe marriage should be one of them. She can tell the show at ANY time to turn off the cameras but she doesn’t.

    The ONLY reality tv couple that has lasted has been Sharon & Ozzy. Travis & Shanna split, Carmen & Dave, NIck & Jessica. Sure those were on MTV, but still. They were shows that showcased, what should have been their private lives and eventually they all split. I mean whatever happened to a long relationship, then the engagement and then the marriage? Its her own dumb ass fault for rushing everything AND im sure shes only leaving him cuz he’s telling her exactly what the world wants too and she cant handle the truth. Shes an extremely selfish bitch and I have ZERO pity for her and her sham of a marriage.

    Love SJP, she is very real in interviews and humble. Regardless of what happens with K&K, Kim should learn some pointers from SJP. SJP & Matthew have class, make the seperation of their public life and their private life. But KIM’s celebrity is 100% her choice, push your marriage into the public eye then your asking for trouble.

    If Kim was discrete, she and her famewhore family would not have careers. Everyone in that family is doing nothing to be famous. That marraige was nothing but a way to get their talentlesss family more attention. Now she’ll make money from the interviews about the divorce. Kim is not SKP who is a legitimate celebrity, the only thing she’s done besides her “reality” show is a sex tape. The annoying mom and all of them are sad excuses for celebrities.
