Sandra Bullock Gives $1 Million To Japan Relief Effort

Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million to the Red Cross to aid earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

“The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family,” the organization said in a statement.

Bullock made the donation on behalf of her family.

In January 2010, the Oscar-winning actress donated $1 million to relief efforts in Haiti after that country was hit by an earthquake.

Gossip Cop hopes others, celebrity and non-celebrity, will follow Bullock’s generous lead.
