Sandra Bullock Rushes To Help Woman Who Collapsed Of Heat Stroke On Film Set
Sandra Bullock recently rushed to help an extra who collapsed with heat stroke on the New Orleans set of her movie Our Brand Is Crisis. The incident happened on Sunday, when a woman was overwhelmed by the sun and took ill. Bullock gave the ailing extra water and fanned her in the shade until paramedics arrived and transported the stricken woman to a hospital.
In pictures of the incident, Bullock is seen on the ground, holding an umbrella over the extra as co-star Billy Bob Thornton stands nearby, looking concerned. The woman has not been identified. According to TMZ, extras had been instructed to wear warm clothing, even though the heat in New Orleans is still brutal, leading to the medical emergency.
The set was dark on Monday, with cast and crew returning to work on Tuesday. The movie is based on a documentary about the application of U.S. political campaign tactics to races in South America. Click here to see pictures of Bullock on the Our Brand Is Crisis set.
