Sandra Bullock Surprises High School Graduates In New Orleans – WATCH VIDEO
Sandra Bullock made a surprise appearance at Warren Easton Charter High School’s graduation ceremony in New Orleans on Monday, and imparted some advice. The crowd went wild when Bullock emerged from her hiding place at the University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena, where the ceremony was held.
After taking the stage, Bullock told students how she had recently been asked what she would say if she could go back and talk to her younger self. “I thought, ‘Wow, that’s kind of heavy,'” she said, prompting laughs from the crowd. “Then I realized what I wished someone had said to me was what I’ve been spending the last four years telling a little boy, who I love more than anything, who happens to be my son, and he’s from New Orleans.”
“So I thought maybe I will share that with you guys,” she continued. “What I tell a four-year-old is what I wish someone would have told me before I stepped out in the world, and the first thing is stop worrying so much,” explained Bullock.
The Oscar winner then advised the students to “eat something green every day,” and importantly to “not pick your nose in public.” In 2013, Bullock was honored at the People’s Choice Awards for her efforts to restore Warren Easton Charter High School post Katrina.
