Samuel L. Jackson Tries to Get Reporter to Say “N-Word” During Interview (VIDEO)

By Shari Weiss

Django Unchained has raised eyebrows for its use of the N-word, and now an interview with Samuel L. Jackson is doing the same.

The film’s star was questioned during a press junket about the controversial dialogue by reporter Jake Hamilton, but pretended not to know what N-word the interviewer meant.

“No? Nobody? None?” asked Jackson playfully. “The word would be…”

When Hamilton said he didn’t want to say the actual word and felt uncomfortable, Jackson urged, “Try it,” before adding, “We’re not going to have this conversation unless you say it.”

But when Hamilton turned the tables, and asked Jackson himself to say it, the actor replied, “No, f**k no!”

“That’s not the same thing,” said Jackson.

The N-word discussion comes at the 13:55 mark.
