Actually, most Hunger Games fans that I have conversed with have seen his previous blockbuster films. Quite a few have even seen his lesser-known films (“Pillars of the Earth” being one great example). :)

Poor Rob Pattinson. Every actor that his gf stars in a movie with ends up getting the big role that he was rumored as a front runner for instead, it’s almost getting spooky. It’s like some sort of curse. Personally, I would have far preferred him to Sam Claflin. Hopefully he can do another bigger film someday so I don’t have to search the old arty theaters for his films.

To be honest, there’s more than one actor who would make a perfect Finnick. I didn’t even think about Sam to begin with but I think he will make an excellent Finnick. And to all the people saying Finnick looks like a certain person, how do you know that? Are you Suzanne Collins? I don’t think so. So just suck it up and accept whoever they cast as Finnick. Plenty of people were upset about the casting of the first movie before it came out and it turned out to be amazing so I think we can trust them. Besides, if they tried to please everyone by making the movie exactly how everyone pictured it while reading the book it would just be a mess. Just be patient and see how the movie actually turns out before you judge it.

I did read the books, missy. And Im open minded and mature enough to give the actor a chance. If he got the part instead of whoever else you had in mind it may be because he actually impressed people with his audition. He got cast for a reason, but Im sure you just dont get that. If this really makes you unhappy I suggest you write your own book, create your own movie company, and tell us all with immaculate work how to do things properly instead of being such a child about it. Sam it’s a really good actor, and i don’t have nothing against him, so… i don´t care, if they think than he’s the best option to play Finnick, well, we see that later, right? If she chose him among others, then he chose him for a reason. He must have corresponded to the mental picture in her head. She IS his character. If she thinks he’s perfect and we adore her work, then really, it’s of no use to complain until we’ve seen it for ourselves. That is if this is TRUE and that she remains hands on.

He may be an amazing actor but there are many other actors with a lot of talent and that are extremelly atractive. While reading the books I imagined Grant Gustin as Finnick ’cause I think he’d be perfect as him. All I’m saying is that there were many “better” possible Finnicks in my opinion…

I am desperately clinging to the hope that he’s still just a rumor, since I’ve yet to see any confirmation from the horse’s mouth, aka Lionsgate. I personally don’t buy him as Finnick at all, and am extremely displeased that he’s even in the running. First of all, he’s pretty average looking. Not ugly by any means, but definitely not as “greek god” as he’s supposed to be. I can forgive that if he was a tremendous actor, but even that is sub-par for me, at least the movies I’ve seen him in. He’s simply forgettable. Now of course I know there’s movie magic out there, but to me, why bother casting someone who needs to undergo this massive transformation to become a character when you’ve got TONS of other actors who have the crazy good looks and are great actors to boot?
