Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat,” which had been put on hiatus back in April, has now been officially canceled, the network announced.

In a statement, the cable channel said, “Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat,” adding, “We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.”

Although a success by all measures, the show had been plagued with a series of issues, including Jennette McCurdys salary feud with Nickelodeon which even prompted her to skip the Kids Choice Awards because she felt she was being treated “unfairly” by the network

McCurdy was upset with Nickelodeon because believed her “Sam & Cat” co-star Ariana Grande was making more money than her, an allegation the “Problem’ singer denied.

Meanwhile, Grande’s music career was beginning to blow up, as McCurdy was dealing with the scandalous leak of racy photos of herself.
