Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat” has reportedly been put on hiatus in the wake of Jennette McCurdy’s salary feud with the network.
As Gossip Cop noted, McCurdy skipped the Kids Choice Awards last Saturday because she said she’s being treated “unfairly” by Nickelodeon.
It’s since come out that the actress is upset with the network because her “Sam & Cat” co-star Ariana Grande is allegedly making a lot more money than her.
On Wednesday, the TV series went on indefinite hiatus, and it’s not known whether the extremely popular show will return for a second season.
A rep for Nickelodeon says, “We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of Sam & Cat, and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest.”
Gossip Cop will have updates.
