Sal Valentinetti “America’s Got Talent” Video: Watch “That’s Life” Performance!
Sal Valentinetti performed “That’s Life” for the “America’s Got Talent” semifinals on Tuesday. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Valentinetti is a former “America’s Idol” contestant who has been finding far more success on “AGT” than he did with the Fox competition. On the NBC show, he won Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer after dazzling her with his personality and old-timey voice during the auditions. That sent him straight to the live quarterfinals, during which Valentinetti turned One Direction’s “Story Of My Life” into a jazz standard.
Now for his second live performance, Valentinetti went with “That’s Life,” a classic famously performed by Frank Sinatra. The big-band performance led to a standing ovation from Klum and Simon Cowell, while Howie Mandel and Mel B gave strong applause. “What a great way to open up the show,” she told him afterward.
Klum said to Valentinetti “This is how I like you best. You were singing tonight a big-band standard, and you sang the hell out of it.” She went on to praise not just his “golden pipes,” but also his “heart of gold.” And Cowell said one of the reasons he loves the contestant so much is because he’s not just on the show for “exposure.”
“You’re here to win,” said the music mogul, going on to tell America to send him to the finale. Mandel only said afterward, “What he said, because I can’t top it!” Check out the full video below!
