Sacha Baron Cohen Gives Howard Stern Extremely Rare Out-Of-Character Interview

Sacha Baron Cohen has been everywhere recently to promote his upcoming comedy The Dictator.

But Howard Stern got something extremely rare: An interview with Baron Cohen himself – not in character.

Baron Cohen told Stern, “This is like the third time in my life I’ve done an interview out of character,” and noted what a “huge fan” he is of the radio host, crediting Stern with “inspiring” his career early on.

It’s always a little jarring to see Baron Cohen just being himself and not as one of his famous creations (Borat, Bruno, Ali G, General Aladeen).

    Howard had the best show today, it was a “Cohen” day 1st Sasha and then Andy Cohen, both interviews were awesome, it was weird to listen to Sasha out of character, it really was good interview, Stern always does the best interviews and then Andy he is so freaking cute and listening to him and all that he goes through w/the shows, it was interesting today is one of those days that I’m glad I have satellite radio

    I hate when Sasha does interviews in character. It is usually a big turn off. This was his best interview I have ever heard him do. Can you imagine if all actors did all interviews in character. If I had to hear Johny Depp do the pirate at all his interviews. Or maybe robert downey should walk around like Iron Man.
