Ryan Seacrest University Of Georgia Commencement Video: Star Uses Selfie Stick During Graduation Speech – WATCH!
Ryan Seacrest gave the commencement address at the University of Georgia on Friday, and a selife stick was involved. Check out the videos below!
Seacrest is technically an alum of UGA, though he never graduated. The star dropped out after his first year to pursue his dreams of becoming a radio host on the West Coast. But while he might not be the best example of the benefits of higher education, he certainly had a lot to share with the Class of 2016 about achieving success.
Prior to his speech, Seacrest met with students and hit the campus gym. He later took part in the ceremony’s procession, and was awarded an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters on stage. The “American Idol” host also brought some levity to the proceedings early on in his speech when he had the school’s bulldog mascot help him with a selfie stick.
Using a camera phone attached to it, Seacrest was able to record both himself and the thousands of people in attendance as they cheered. “Have some fun with this,” he encouraged the graduates. He then cracked, “And moms and dads, how happy are you not to be paying tuition anymore? Let’s hear it!”
Seacrest later tweeted, “So honored to share this moment with the @universityofga class of 2016…hard work pays off. Congrats to all #UGA16.” Watch the videos below!
