Ryan Reynolds Did Not “Bump” Teresa Giudice Off Cover Of People, Despite Report
Ryan Reynolds did not “bump” Teresa Giudice off the cover of the latest issue of People, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correctly the claim. We’re told the recently released from prison reality star was never slated to be on the cover of this week’s magazine.
According to the New York Post, “Giudice missed a shot at being the covergirl of People magazine this week when she was bumped at the eleventh hour by Ryan Reynolds. The tabloid quotes an ill-informed source saying, “People told Teresa she would get the cover” because of her new book about her time behind bars, “Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.” But, adds the paper’s source, “At the last minute they switched to Ryan as ‘Sexiest Dad Alive.’”
Giudice, however, has a cover chip on the current issue of People with a picture of her and the caption, “How I Survived My Prison Nightmare.”
But Gossip Cop, which has spoiled several “Sexiest Man Alive” covers to the chagrin of People, is told by an insider at the magazine that Reynolds was slated for the cover for close to two months in anticipation of his new movie Deadpool, which hits theaters tomorrow. Our impeccable source says, “There was no eleventh hour changing of anything,” and even Giudice’s publisher was “aware the cover was unavailable.”
A rep for Reynolds, who was never contacted for a comment by the paper, further confirmed to Gossip Cop that the Deadpool star had been “locked” for the cover for weeks.
