Ryan Phillippe Not Ending His Acting Career, Despite Reports

Ryan Phillippe‘s comments about leaving Hollywood were taken out of context, his rep tells Gossip Cop.
“I think I’m going to end my acting career,” the New York Post quoted Phillippe as saying at an event for his new film, The Bang Bang Club, in which he plays a photojournalist.
He referred to frustration with the tabloid spotlight on his personal life.
“I’m a good guy. I’m not that guy you read about,” he says.
“I’m so introverted,” the star explained, whose personal life has been frequent tabloid fodder. “I’m ready to be behind the scenes. I’m 36, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years.”
But while Phillippe is indeed interested in expanding into roles like producing and directing, he’s not preparing to quit acting, contrary to media reports that picked up on the Post interview.
“He’s not retiring from acting anytime soon,” his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
