Prior to becoming a sex symbol, Oscar nominee and subject of “Hey Girl” memes, Ryan Gosling was just an adorable 10-year-old performing in a Mormon talent competition.

In the video below, a young Gosling croons “When a Man Loves a Woman” and dances with his sister Mandi to “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).”

And yes, he’s wearing Hammer pants.
