Ryan Gosling Did NOT Hit On Emma Stone, Despite Report
Ryan Gosling did NOT hit on Emma Stone back when the two made their first movie together, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it didn’t happen.
The La La Land co-stars first worked together in 2010’s Crazy, Stupid, Love and then again in 2013’s Gangster Squad. A so-called “source” now tells the National Enquirer that the actor had initially put the moves on Stone before meeting girlfriend Eva Mendes, but she “wisely rejected Ryan’s endless indecent proposals.”
The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say that Stone “knew he cavorted with hordes of Hollywood hotties, and Emma’s not a notch-in-the-belt type.” The “source” then adds, in oddly unnatural language, “Passing on his passes, she kept heartthrob firmly in the ‘friend zone.’ And she’s beyond thrilled that he’s finally hooked up with baby mama Eva Mendes, so she won’t have to slap him on the wrist – or the kisser – anymore.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that Gosling and Stone have always kept their relationship friendly and professional. We’re told the tabloid’s claim that the actor made a move on her is simply not true. Unfortunately, Gossip Cop has had to correct a number of similarly wrong reports about the La La Land stars, so this latest fabrication comes as no surprise.
We previously busted the Enquirer for falsely claiming that Mendes was angry about Gosling and Stone promoting their movie together. Gossip Cop also called out the magazine’s sister publication, OK!, for alleging Mendes was threatened by Gosling and Stone’s friendship. This latest story is equally untrue.
