Rupert Murdoch And Jerry Hall Marry In London
Rupert Murdoch married Jerry Hall in London on Friday. The two wed inside the 18th-century private palace Spencer House after a five-month whirlwind romance. For their wedding, Murdoch wore a blue suit, while his bride wore a knee-length blue skirt.
Hall and Murdoch went public with their romance in late October at the Rugby World Cup final in London. They next hit the red carpet at the Golden Globes on January 10. Two days later, it was announced in a Murdoch-owned newspaper that the media mogul and model were engaged.
The newlyweds are set to have a second ceremony on Saturday at London’s St Bride’s Church, and their combined six daughters are expected to serve as bridesmaids. In addition to Murdoch’s daughters, Prudence, Elizabeth, Chloe and Grace, helping at the second wedding celebration will be Hall’s daughters Elizabeth and Georgia. Murdoch also has two sons Lachlan and James, as does Hall whose boys are James and Gabriel.
This is the fourth marriage for Murdoch and the first for Hall, who was in a 20-plus year relationship with Mick Jagger, the father of her four children. The media tycoon was first married to flight attendant Patricia Booker, then journalist Anna Torv, and most recently to Wendi Deng. While Hall and Jagger had a “wedding” ceremony in Bali in 1990, it was not a legal marriage.
