Rumor that George Clooney cut out Brad Pitt and booze gets smashed

“George Clooney is trying to get booze out of his life completely,” says a so-called “pal” in the ironically titled “Buzz” section of OK! magazine.
“He didn’t invite Brad [Pitt] to Italy this past summer, because he didn’t want to get sucked into an endless drinking session,” slurred the alleged “pal” about why Brad Pitt was not at Clooney’s Lake Como home this summer, though the “more temperate Matt Damon” was.
“[George’s] told people that he’s going to slow down,” says the “source,” who hammered, “He’s had a lot of fun over the years, but as he gets closer to 50, he really wants to live a healthier and more balanced life… He never wants to have more than one drink a day.”
Well, Gossip Cop’s timing was impeccable. This story was easily smashed when we reached out to Clooney’s people, who were in England with the star for a premiere of the animated film, “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” for which Clooney voiced the lead character. The actor’s rep replied to questions about Clooney’s cocktailing by saying, “We are sitting here in London. Drinking.”
And the next round was on Gossip Cop — no joke.
