Rosie O’Donnell’s Wife Michelle Rounds: “I Am The Better Mother, Dakota Should Be With Me”
Rosie O’Donnell’s estranged wife, Michelle Rounds, slammed O’Donnell on Thursday, saying, “I am the better mother. Dakota should be with me.” Rounds, who was stopped by a photographer, added, “I used to be afraid of Rosie, but I’m not afraid of Rosie anymore because I want what’s best for Dakota, and what’s best for Dakota is to be with me.”
As Gossip Cop reported, O’Donnell filed for divorce from Rounds in February, stating her marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Following the split, Rounds has been gunning for sole custody of their adopted two-year-old daughter Dakota.
When approached by a TMZ photographer on Thursday, Rounds admitted the divorce has been “really hard.” She explained, “Imagine going through a divorce with a celebrity, someone who’s very powerful, someone who has all the media and publicists behind them. I’m just a normal person… I’m David vs. Goliath. I don’t understand it.”
Rounds also accused O’Donnell of trying to use their young daughter to gain sympathy and curry favor toward her. Earlier this week, O’Donnell posted a photo on Instagram of Dakota with her hand in the air, and captioned it, “Excuse me… do I get a vote?”
