You guys don’t seem to understand, Taylor was a child actress who had her problems too… multiple marriages, drinking, all sorts of problems… The only difference is back then the media didn’t chase around actresses waiting for them to screw up and arresting a celebrity was really really unheard of, especially actresses…. If the Taylor of then was in society now… she would be best friends with Lohan and they would both be getting into trouble…

I don’t agree with Rosie saying the last thing Lindsay did well, she was sixteen. It was true until she hosted SNL which was critically well received. For all the problems Lindsay has, she is a talented actress. As far as what place Lindsay is in right now, I don’t know her so I don’t know, but I’ve never heard about Rosie and Lindsay hanging out either so I suspect Rosie doesn’t know either. What I do know is Lindsay finished her probation early and the judge commended her on making real strides in turning her life around. This is Lifetime, a lower rated cable station for goodness sake. Normally the best thing that channel can get in terms of name actresses is a b-list actress for their movies, and rarely someone with Lindsay’s name recognition. With Lindsay, they get high name recognition and talent to boot. It’s a good move for Lindsay to do the movie as well to begin rebuilding her reputation so she can get insured for higher budget movies. Seems like a win for everyone, don’t really get why Rosie is attacking Lifetime for the casting decision.

Another attempt by Rosie to remain relevant..Lindsay is actually the perfect casting for this role.She and Taylor have a very parallel career and life arch to this point. It was only in the later years of Taylor’s life that she was able to somewhat find normalcy. Her early life was marked by tragedy and triumph, just as Lindsay’s has been. As for Rosie, her greatest achievement in acting was to play and very poorly at that, an undercover operative in “Exit to Eden”….so she probably should not be the one to critique Lindsay’s acting ability.
