Rosie O’Donnell has signed a deal to bring a new talk show to TV syndication for the 2011-2012 season, Gossip Cop has learned exclusively.
Dick Robertson, former president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, is one of the driving forces behind the show.
Speculation right now is that it will be more like her current radio show than her old daytime TV talk show.
We’re hearing that, like O’Donnell’s radio program, the new foray into TV will focus more on issues that range from political to topical.
Gossip Cop sources say it’s a done deal.
Details still emerging…

Oh no! Not more trash TV. When will it ever end?
Bob Lee, 2 words for you and I’ll be nice about it too….
SHUT UP!!! If you don’t like Rosie don’t read the article and don’t even post.
I have one word about Rosie coming back to TV…..
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
Rosie rocks and always will.
Rosie O’Donnell is irrelevant, too out of touch with reality to speak with any kind of authority on much of anything most people care about. Too bad . . . TV executives just don’t get it but fortunately this show won’t last long, IF it even happens!
Awesome!! I loved Rosie’s daytime talk show!! I hope this new show isn’t too political though…
@MyKinKStar
Rosie is far from being irrelevant and out of touch. She has a great following and I’m sure her show will be an even greater success than her previous talk show.
I will not watch any show that Rose O’Donnell is on.
Rosie will have a tough time getting guests after a short while. If one does not share her views, she is relentless and obnoxious. She preaches individualism but slams anyone that does not think like her. Even the people she calls friends (like Barbara Walters) eventually see the “real” Rosie. Let’s face it, the people she constantly praises are the ones the kiss her big butt. In addition, since leaving the original Rosie talk show, she has not been able to focus on anything for more than a year. Let’s go back an think – magazine, broadway producer, “The View”, 100 different hobbies, and no her radio show. It is interesting that she has signed this deal. Trouble is, she still need a network to pick her up. Even if this happens I see attention waning quickly. At this point in her career, she has very little following or relevance.
