Life & Style Runs False Story About Rosie O’Donnell And The View, Despite Knowing It’s Wrong (EXCLUSIVE)
Life & Style published a false story about Rosie O’Donnell and “The View” in its latest issue, even after being told its allegations about O’Donnell being a “prima donna,” who’s supposedly “hated” on set, were false. Gossip Cop exclusively confirms with both O’Donnell’s rep and a spokesperson for the ABC show that the outlet was told the information was inaccurate before going to print.
But the tabloid ran the story anyway, alleging that O’Donnell’s supposed diva ways have caused a behind-the-scenes uproar. “She and Whoopi [Goldberg] aren’t even speaking,” claims a so-called “insider,” who further alleges “the staff hates Rosie — she berates everyone.” Life & Style claims “ABC suits aren’t happy,” and quotes its snitch as saying executives are “considering bringing back Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd to combat falling ratings — and all the stress!”
The tabloids, including Life & Style, have been peddling wrong stories about O’Donnell and “The View” for years. Frankly, it’s getting tiring. But it’s all the more disturbing when a publication disregards the truth just for the sake of a sensational headline. A rep for O’Donnell tells Gossip Cop that Life & Style’s latest piece is full of “stupidity,” and is once again “not true.”
A “View” spokesperson even shares with Gossip Cop the statement that was sent to the magazine explaining its claims were wrong, and shaming them for carrying on with “utterly ridiculous” stories. Life & Style apparently willfully ignored the memo, and instead served up falsehoods to its readers. Gossip Cop will keep calling out the magazine accordingly.
