Rosie O’Donnell Daughter Chelsea Moves In With Biological Mother Deanna Micoley
Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea has left the home of the former talk-show host to live with her biological mother Deanna Micoley, Gossip Cop confirms. Chelsea, who ran away from home earlier this month to be with a convicted drug offender who she met on Tinder, turned 18 on Wednesday and decided to move to Micoley’s home in Wisconsin.
Micoley drove from Wisconsin to New York to pick up the emancipated teen, and the two then rode back to the birth mom’s house, where Chelsea will remain. It’s unclear whether Chelsea wants to return to O’Donnell, though the TV personality has made it clear that she didn’t want her daughter, who she raised since birth, to leave with her biological mother. O’Donnell is reportedly playing hard ball with Chelsea, cutting her off financially.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Chelsea ran away on August 11 from the family’s Nyack, New York house with a “therapy dog” named Bear. At the time, O’Donnell said the teen suffered from mental illness and had stopped taking her medication. Chelsea was found one week later in Barnegat Light, New Jersey, about 100 miles away from O’Donnell’s home, with Steven Sheerer, who has a criminal record that includes arrests for child endangerment and heroin possession. After being found with Chelsea, who was then 17 years old, Sheerer was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
O’Donnell has not commented on her daughter leaving for Wisconsin with her birth mother Deanna Micoley, but her rep tells Gossip Cop, “Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice.”
