Roseanne Barr Wins Peace and Freedom Party’s Nomination for Presidential Election

Roseanne Barr is officially a nominee for the President of the United States.

The comedienne was selected Saturday to run in November’s election on behalf of the Peace and Freedom Party, with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan as her vice-presidential running mate.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Barr filed paperwork in February to be the Green Party‘s presidential candidate, but at the group’s convention last month, she ultimately did not score the nod.

Yesterday, however, at the Peace and Freedom Party’s convention in Los Angeles, Barr successfully made her case as to why she should be America’s next President.

“Cindy and I are the ‘Throw the Bums Out’ ticket and the ‘Ballot Access’ ticket,” the former sitcom star said before the vote.

She continued, “The American people are sick and tired of this ‘lesser evil’ garbage they get fed every election year. Both the Democrats and the Republicans do the same evils once they’re in office.”

Though Barr and Sheehan likely won’t appear on ballots in every state, she urged the public to look beyond the major parties.

“I’m here to tell the voters: if you want to tell the government and the two domineering parties that you’re sick and tired of all their evil, register in the Peace and Freedom Party and vote for me and Cindy,” she said according to CNN.

Would you consider voting for Barr and Sheehan?

Holy crap! If Roseanne Barr were to get elected, there would be people running for the borders – TO GET OUT! How about that National Anthem there Rosie…???

I love Roseanne but I loathe any entertainer who uses their notoriety to try to sway public opinion regarding politics. Just because they can recite words that someone else wrote, sing a song, or throw a ball does NOT make them intelligent enough to tell anyone else who to vote for. The worst part of this sort of stunt is that people will vote for her, rather than a candidate that actually has a chance to win. Epic fail.

Ugggg….I’d even vote for Ron Paul before this mess.

Its not like Roseanne would be running the country by herself. She could give a room in the Whitehouse to each member of the Big Bang Theory cast. They could tape important global and personal events each week then broadcast them to the nation on Sunday evenings in a half hour show that would speak honestly to the working classes in their language and always finish on a strong moral point where good wins out. For at least 30 minutes a week Americans would be able to forget that they are up to their eyes in debt and remember that laughter is the best medicine (when you can’t afford actual healthcare).

On the other hand…..I would vote for Roseanne before I would vote for Donald Trump.
