Roseanne Barr Goes Nuts on Camera
5:00 pm, February 14th, 2011
Roseanne Barr is coming back to TV – but not as you might expect.
The sitcom icon will have a new reality show on Lifetime that follows her attempts to operate a 4-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii with her boyfriend Johnny Argent.
You read that correctly.
According to press materials, Barr “uses a take-no-prisoners approach in shaping a Utopian dream for herself and her loved ones.”
“Roseanne Barr is an undeniable force of nature and the idea of following her in this unique premise excited us from the get-go,” Lifetime said in a statement.
“Roseanne is funny and brutally honest, and our audience will relate to her decision to go on this adventure and create an entirely new life for herself.”
Lifetime has ordered 16 episodes for broadcast sometime later this year.
