Ronda Rousey Is 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s Cover Girl With Ashley Graham And Hailey Clauson – PHOTOS
Ronda Rousey is the 2016 cover model Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. But that’s not all. For the first time in the magazine’s 52-year history, there are three separate covers, and Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson are featured on the two other covers. See all three Sports Illustrated covers below as well as the official announcement.
Rousey’s cover features the UFC former champ in what appears to be a one-piece bathing suit, but is actually a swimsuit drawn on her in body paint. Graham, who is a plus-size model, poses in a purple string bikini for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. And Clauson goes topless for her magazine cover, using just her left hand to block her breasts, while rocking a multicolored bikini bottom.
Sports Illustrated editor MJ Day said about Rousey, Graham and Clauson, “All three women are beautiful, sexy and strong. Beauty is not cookie cutter. Beauty is not ‘one size fits all.’”
About Rousey, Day expressed, “She is the perfect combination of beauty, brains, brawn and humility… She’s a Phoenix, as fiery and beautiful as any mythical creature ever depicted.” Graham “owns her sexiness in a way that every woman should. Her confidence is contagious,” noted Day. And about Clauson, Day felt she’s the “definition of a modern bombshell.”
Rousey, Graham, and Clauson, who were on TNT’s special, “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016 Revealed,” on Saturday were equally shocked about getting their coveted covers. See the video below of them being announced as 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue cover models, as well as the individual covers.
