Ronda Rousey To Star In Biopic Based On Autobiography ‘My Fight/Your Fight’
Ronda Rousey is set to star as herself in an upcoming film about her life, based on her autobiography “My Fight/Your Fight.” The movie will chronicle Rousey’s difficult path to becoming the number one female MMA fighter in the world.
Paramount Pictures has bought the rights to Rousey’s bestselling book, and has hired screenwriter Mark Bomback to adapt it into a screenplay. Bomback previously wrote the scripts for such movies as Live Free Or Die Hard, The Wolverine and Insurgent.
In addition to starring in the film, Rousey will also produce the movie. She has already appeared in a handful of films, most recently doing a cameo in Entourage in which she played herself. She’s also been in the movies The Expendables 3 and Furious 7. Rousey’s also getting ready to film the action movie Mile 22 alongside Mark Wahlberg, and has been tapped to star in The Athena Project, a movie about a female counterterrorism squad.
As Gossip Cop reported, Rousey defended her bantamweight title on Saturday when she knocked out her opponent Bethe Correia in just 34 seconds during a UFC fight in Rio de Janeiro. Rousey is expected to fight one more time before the end of the year.
