Romance Watch: Jennifer Aniston Clocking Time with John Mayer Again?

Like a burrito that comes back to haunt you is this equally unsavory bit of dish, claiming John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are possibly back together. In a piece titled “Jennifer Aniston And John Mayer May Have Rekindled Their Romance,” the DailyFill has some pretty solid evidence.

The proof?

The site notes, “Jennifer Aniston still wears the gold Rolex watch given to her by [Mayer].” Not good enough for you? Really? OK, the DailyFill even has a “source” who says, “John gave Jennifer the Rolex when they were at the height of their romance . . . In recent weeks she’s started wearing it again to show John he’s still in her thoughts.”

(So maybe our ex-girlfriend doesn’t hate us after all, and instead really loves us because she once used an umbrella we gave her during a blinding storm. Knew it was a sign!)

The so-called source also says Aniston’s been sending Mayer “flirty texts and emails,” and adds that her “plan is obviously working – John is a keen Rolex collector and Jennifer knows how symbolic the gesture is to him. He’s been replying to her with racy pictures and emails . . . It’s only a matter of time before they officially announce they’re back together.”

Gossip Cop can tell you that the DailyFill is full of it, and it’s definitely not “a matter of time,” regardless of whose watch you’re wearing.

    This comes from a england tabloid The Look NOT Daily Fill. This isn’t the first Gossip Cop put on blast the wrong site. Daily Fill is a copy and paste gossip site like a billion other sites. I like Gossip Cop but you need to clean up the reporting a bit.

    You are correct, and the rumor was picked up by a lot of other places, too. We weren’t trying to give the impression that it originated from the Daily Fill, but that was the site that was receiving a tremendous amount of traffic because of it, and we thought the best way to thwart the rumor was to go after that big aggregator. We are sorry for any confusion. Thank you Destiny24 and Sarah Bethune. and yes, we approached reps for comments, and sometimes the stories are so off base they don’t want to comment — or comment on the record. But, unlike the other sites, nothing goes up on Gossip Cop until reps, lawyers, the celebs themselves… are contacted. Thanks again for your comments. We appreciate them.

    Has John or Jen EVER admitted that that watch was a gift from John? Its just a rumor that gossip sites ran with and now it is being taken in as a FACT. Shout out to gossipcop by the way.
