Michael J. Fox: I’m “Stunned” at Robin Williams’ Parkinson’s Disease Revelation
As Gossip Cop reported, Williams’ widow Susan Schneider made the revelation on Thursday, announcing that the actor was in the “early stages” of the debilitating ailment.
Fox, of course, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the early 1990s, and has spent years raising research funds and creating awareness through The Michael J. Fox Foundation in hopes of finding a cure.
He tweeted Thursday evening, “Stunned to learn Robin had PD.”
“Pretty sure his support for our Fdn predated his diagnosis,” Fox went on. “A true friend; I wish him peace.”
After the news of Williams’ death broke earlier this week, Fox remembered his pal as “famously kind, ferociously funny, a genius and a gentle soul.”
“What a loss,” he added.
