Robin Williams’ Daughter Zelda: ‘I Love You. Miss You. I’ll Try To Keep Looking Up’
Quoting Antoine De Saint-Exupery’s “The Little Prince,” she tweeted, “You – you alone will have the stars as no one else has them…In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night…You – only you – will have stars that laugh.”
Zelda then added in her own words, “I love you. I miss you. I’ll try to keep looking up.”
Just two weeks ago, Williams posted a black-and-white image of himself with Zelda, one of the three children he left behind.
In Williams’ last Instagram post, he wrote, “#tbt and Happy Birthday to Ms. Zelda Rae Williams! Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!”
Zelda turned 25 on July 31.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, the Oscar winner was found unresponsive and unconscious in his home in Tiburon, California on Monday. The coroner suspects that Williams committed suicide by asphyxiation.
The comedian’s wife, Susan Schneider, later said in a statement, “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
And a rep for Williams noted that Williams hard been “battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss.” Virtually everyone in Hollywood has since expressed shock and grief over Williams’ death.
Gossip Cop’s thoughts and prayers go out to Zelda, Williams’s two other children, Cody and Zachary, and his widow during this difficult time.
