Robin Thicke Did NOT Get Drunk At Dad Alan’s Funeral, Despite Report
Robin Thicke did NOT get drunk at his dad Alan Thicke’s funeral, despite a made-up and mean-spirited webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim about him drinking. We’re told it’s “100 percent false.”
As Gossip Cop reported, the “Growing Pains” star died after suffering a heart attack earlier this week, and according to RadarOnline, his son has turned to alcohol to cope with his passing. A so-called “source” tells the site, “Robin is completely inconsolable. He has been snapping at his girlfriend April, who is just trying to be there for support. They ended up getting into a huge fight yesterday.”
The webloid’s dubious insider goes on to purport that the singer had promised friends he wouldn’t turn to booze to numb the pain, but he allegedly “got very drunk” at Alan’s funeral this week to the point that “the rest of his family did not want to be around him.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Robin, who exclusively assures us the outlet’s story is “100 percent false.” The singer wasn’t wasted at his dad’s funeral, which hasn’t even happened yet, and the claim otherwise is both insensitive and untrue.
In fact, Robin posted a touching tribute to his father shortly following his death. “My Father passed away today,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for the love. Love, your grateful son.”
