Robin Thicke: Paula Patton Really Left Me Because I Was Always Drunk and High
In a deposition, stemming from a lawsuit over whether he and Pharrell Williams stole part of their song “Blurred Lines” from Marvin Gaye’s song “Got To Give It Up,” Thicke noted he “had a drug and alcohol problem for the year.”
Thicke even stated under oath that he didn’t “do a single interview last year without being high.”
According to court papers, Thicke often used Norco, which he said was “like two Vicodin in one pill.”
While expanding on his drug and alcohol troubles during the deposition, Thicke admitted, “I told my wife the truth. That’s why she left me.”
Although he has not given up alcohol, Thicke said he has stopped using Vicodin and has been sober for months.
Thicke and Patton separated in February after being married for almost a decade.
