Bee Gees Star Robin Gibb Rushed to Hospital with Severe Stomach Pain

Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees has been hospitalized with intense stomach pains.

The singer is being treated for abdominal pain and colon inflammation in Oxford, England after his wife, Dwina, called for an ambulance.

According to a statement released on Gibb’s behalf, it’s “a difficult time for him and his family.”

In 2010, the Bee Gee had emergency intestinal surgery following a concert in Belgium.

Last April, he canceled a tour due to unbearable abdominal pain.

Maurice Gibb, Robin’s twin brother, died in 2003 of complications of a twisted intestine.

Gossip Cop will have updates.

How in the world does your intestines become twisted?!?! This is the first one for me!

Your intestines can twist like a rope when they move around in your abdomen. (And yes they do move around!) It is very definitely a condition suffered by many. But if Robin had surgery, why didn’t they just remove the damaged part of the bowel? He shouldn’t still be having unbearable pain.

Wishing Robin Gibb better health and recovery! Indeed, this is a life threatening illness but caught in time, it can be controlled. There is no cure.
